Powerlon UltraBlock SA Self-Adhesive Vapour Control Layer is a thermo-reflective air and vapour control layer (AVCL) featuring a fully self-adhesive backing for secure and efficient installation across roof, wall and ceiling applications.
Installed on the warm side of the insulation, UltraBlock SA creates an impermeable air and vapour barrier that helps improve building airtightness while restricting moisture-laden air from entering the insulation and building structure. This helps protect insulation and reduce the risk of interstitial condensation.
Its thermo-reflective surface helps reflect radiant heat back into the building, supporting improved energy efficiency when incorporated into an appropriately designed construction. With a water vapour resistance of greater than 7,500 MNs/g, it provides a high level of vapour control for demanding building envelope applications.
The membrane also incorporates a reinforcement scrim for additional strength, while the fully self-adhesive design helps simplify installation and achieve secure contact with suitable substrates.
