The Manthorpe Dry Hip Support Trays – Pack of 10 are designed to be installed above the vent roll in a dry hip roofing system, creating a straight and level platform for laying hip tiles. This is especially important when working with profiled or deep flat roof tiles, ensuring a professional finish and secure installation.
Each tray measures 1100mm in length and should overlap the tray below by 100mm for continuous support along the hip. They can be easily cut to size or shaped to fit the angles required at the eaves or at ridge-to-hip junctions using a sharp utility knife.
The trays are fixed to the previously installed hip battens using stainless steel nails, offering a strong, weather-resistant fixing method that supports the long-term stability of the dry hip system.
