Britannia Paints Universal QD Roof Primer-Sealer - 5 Litre

Britannia Paints Universal QD Primer-Sealer is a quick-drying roof primer for preparing suitable surfaces before applying a compatible waterproofing system. It helps improve adhesion on weathered single-ply roof membranes and other specified substrates.

Suitable surfaces include PVC, Hypalon and TPO roof membranes, Plastisol-coated substrates, concrete, GRP and fibreglass. A site-specific adhesion test is required on the specified single-ply membranes and Plastisol surfaces before starting the full application.

The quick-drying formula allows priming and topcoating on the same day when conditions permit. Supplied in a 5 litre container with an amber-brown finish, it can be applied by brush or solvent-resistant roller.

Application guidance: Clean and repair the surface, then allow it to dry. Stir well and do not thin. Apply between 2°C and 35°C, avoiding damp or frozen surfaces and hot direct sunlight. Typical coverage is approximately 10m² per litre, depending on the substrate. Drying normally takes 2–4 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. Overcoat only when dry.

Suitability: Single-ply membranes must be fully adhered before coating. This primer is not a standalone waterproofing topcoat. Not suitable for walkways, balconies, gutters, tanking, fishponds, new lead, slate, new bituminous surfaces or internal use.
