Novia 500 Gauge Polythene Air & Vapour Control Layer - 2.7m x 50m

The Novia 500 Gauge Polythene Air & Vapour Control Layer (AVCL) is a cost-effective internal barrier designed to reduce air leakage, minimise interstitial condensation, and improve insulation performance. Made from single-ply virgin grade blown polythene, this translucent green-tinted vapour check layer is suitable for a wide range of applications, including SFS light steel frame, timber frame, and concrete frame insulated walls, as well as insulated pitched roofs and floor systems.

Complying with BS EN 13984 and CE marked, Novia 500 Gauge VirginPoly is recommended for use in areas where the risk of interstitial condensation is relatively low. Supplied centre-folded in a 2.7m x 50m roll, it is easy to handle and install, making it an ideal choice for timber frame buildings, garden rooms, and similar constructions.

For professional installation, Novia advises using the two-tape sealing system, combining Novia Double Sided Butyl Tape with either Novia Metallised BOPP Overlap Tape or Novia Foil Overlap Tape. Novia AirSeal 310 FR cartridge sealant should be used when sealing to concrete surfaces for optimal airtightness.
