Novia 1000 Gauge Polythene Air & Vapour Control Layer - 4m x 25m

The Novia 1000 Gauge Polythene Air & Vapour Control Layer (AVCL) is a high-quality, virgin-grade blown polythene membrane designed to reduce air leakage, minimise interstitial condensation, and improve the energy efficiency of buildings. This durable, single-ply barrier is ideal for use in insulated walls, floors, and roofs where there is a moderate risk of condensation.

Supplied as a 4m x 25m multi-folded roll, the translucent green-tinted material is easy to handle and install, making it suitable for SFS light steel frame, timber frame, and concrete frame constructions. It is also an excellent choice for timber frame projects and can be used in conjunction with Novia breather membranes for a complete high-performance system.

For airtight performance, Novia recommends installing with the two-tape sealing system, using Novia Double Sided Butyl Tape alongside either Novia Metallised BOPP Overlap Tape or Novia Foil Overlap Tape. Novia AirSeal 310 FR cartridge sealant should be used when sealing to concrete surfaces. The membrane is CE marked and compliant with BS EN 13984, helping meet BS 5250 requirements for condensation control.
