Designed with FAKRO’s proSky high pivot system, the sash is hinged higher in the frame, allowing it to open outward and create a wide, unobstructed opening. This design improves headroom, increases natural light and provides better outward views, making it ideal for loft conversions and attic rooms used as everyday living spaces.

Internally, the frame is constructed from FSC-certified timber and sealed with a primer before being finished with two layers of hard-wearing white PU (polyurethane) coating. This creates a smooth, sealed surface that resists moisture, condensation and wear, making it particularly well suited to bathrooms, kitchens and utility areas where humidity levels are higher. The advanced P5 triple glazed unit delivers excellent thermal efficiency and enhanced security, helping reduce heat loss and support long-term energy savings while maintaining a comfortable indoor climate throughout the year.

Ventilation is managed through the semi-automatic V40P air inlet, which provides steady background airflow while limiting the effects of wind gusting. The window is further strengthened by FAKRO’s topSafe system, reinforcing hinges, locking points and the lower sash to achieve at least Class III resistance under EN13049 standards. Externally, the aluminium cladding in RAL7022 offers long-lasting weather protection and a modern appearance. This model is suitable for roof pitches between 20 and 65 degrees, offering flexibility across a wide range of pitched roof designs.

The FYU-V P5 is supplied with comprehensive manufacturer warranties, including 10 years on the window, 20 years on the glazing unit and a lifetime warranty against hail damage, providing confidence in long-term performance.
