The Samac Metal Snow Guard for Tiles & Slates 225mm x 2m offers a wider protective barrier designed to catch slipping slates and tiles before they reach the guttering. With its increased 225mm depth, it provides greater coverage across the lower roof area, helping to shield gutters, pathways, and outdoor spaces from damage caused by falling roof materials during stormy or wintry conditions.
This guard can be installed using 2–3 galvanised brackets per length, chosen to suit the roof layout. Half-round brackets are ideal for fixing behind the gutter, whereas ogee brackets allow the guard to be positioned to the front. Where rafter fixing is preferred, galvanised V-type brackets provide a secure alternative. This flexibility makes the guard suitable for a wide range of pitched roofs finished with tiles or slates.
