What Is Machine Cast Lead?
Machine cast lead is manufactured by passing a rotating, water cooled drum through a bath of molten lead. As the drum turns, a uniform sheet of lead forms on its surface before naturally peeling away at the top.
The lead sheet is then wound into large spools and cut down into rolls of specific sizes. This controlled process ensures consistent thickness, reliable quality, and excellent performance for roofing and weatherproofing applications.
