The FAKRO ZBB Window Restrictor is a simple yet effective safety accessory designed to limit the opening of compatible FAKRO roof windows. It is particularly suited to family homes, helping reduce the risk of windows being opened too far while still allowing controlled ventilation and everyday use.
Once fitted, the restrictor links the sash to the frame, limiting the window opening to approximately 10cm. This helps prevent small children from opening the window fully, offering added reassurance without affecting normal operation for adults. The ZBB restrictor can be installed during the initial roof window fitting or added later as a retrofit, with clear installation guidance provided to make fitting straightforward.
When full access is required, the restrictor can be released easily using a 90-degree turn of a screwdriver, allowing the window to open and rotate as normal for cleaning or maintenance. This balance of safety and flexibility makes it a practical solution for improving window security while keeping the window fully functional when needed.
