The Corotherm White Glazing Bar Cap & Base with End Cap is a key component of the Corotherm polycarbonate roofing system, designed to create a secure and watertight joint between two adjoining polycarbonate roof sheets. Suitable for 10mm, 16mm and 25mm Corotherm multiwall sheets, this versatile bar system delivers both structural support and a clean, professional finish.
This two-part glazing bar includes a T-shaped base and a push-fit cap. The base is first fixed directly to the rafter, and the polycarbonate sheets are then laid on either side, leaving a 3mm expansion gap to allow for thermal movement. The top cap is simply pressed into place to complete the joint, forming a tight seal that prevents water ingress and reinforces the roof structure.
Each glazing bar comes with a matching white end cap, designed for the exposed end of the bar. The opposite end is intended to terminate at a wall or structural surface, so an additional cap is not required.
These rafter-supported bars are designed specifically for side-to-side joins only, not for joining sheets end-to-end. They are ideal for use in conservatories, carports, lean-tos, verandas, garden rooms and other polycarbonate roofing systems where durability and appearance are equally important.
