A slate-and-a-half is used at roof verges and edges to maintain correct bonding, ensuring rows align properly while protecting against wind uplift and water ingress. Without these wider tiles, the roof pattern would break, compromising both strength and appearance.

Sourced from high-quality Brazilian slate quarries, this graphite option offers a deep, natural grey colour with subtle tonal variation for an elegant roof finish. Each tile has a lightly textured surface and traditionally dressed edges, enhancing its natural character. Certified to W1 S1 T1 standards, it provides proven resistance against water absorption, freeze-thaw cycles and sulphur dioxide, making it well-suited to the UK climate.

With a 5mm to 7mm thickness, this slate-and-a-half combines strength with ease of installation. Used in conjunction with standard 600mm x 300mm slates, it guarantees a flawless, watertight result.
