The Manthorpe GDV SmartVerge Batten End Clip is designed to provide a reliable and secure fixing point for dry verge units, eliminating the need to nail into the end grain of roofing battens. As nailing into batten ends is no longer recommended due to inconsistent timber quality, this clip offers a safer, more robust alternative.

Fixed to the top face of the tiling batten, the clip features a specially designed aperture that allows a nail to be driven through, gripping it tightly and delivering excellent pull-off resistance. This ensures the dry verge system remains securely attached even under challenging weather conditions.

Manufactured from non-corrosive stainless steel, these clips are BS 5534 compliant and have been independently tested in wind tunnel conditions. They are suitable for use with mechanically fixed, mortar-free verge systems, providing confidence in both performance and long-term durability.
