The Brick Tile Company Brick Slip Grey Pointing Mortar - 25kg

The Brick Tile Company Grey Pointing Mortar is a cement-based formulation designed for neat, long-lasting finishes on brick slip installations. Supplied in a 25kg bag (labelled ‘Natural’), this grey mortar is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors, including in high-temperature areas such as around log burners, or in moisture-prone environments like bathrooms.

The mix is compatible with mortar guns or grout bags, and provides smooth, consistent application with excellent workability. One bag typically covers around 3.5m² when used with full-size, 22mm thick brick slips and 10mm joints. If you're using the slimmer Contemporary Collection at 14mm thick, coverage increases to approximately 4.5m². For those using traditional laying patterns, you can expect to cover around 3m² with Flemish bond and roughly 2.5m² with English bond.

To prepare, mix with 3.5–4.5 litres of clean water until you achieve a workable, lump-free consistency. The mortar remains workable for around 45 minutes, and sets in approximately 2.5 hours. Full curing may take up to 48 hours, during which the colour will lighten slightly. Always store the product in a cool, dry and frost-free place between 5°C and 30°C.
