The Brick Tile Company Bonding Primer - 1 Litre

The Brick Tile Company Bonding Primer is specially formulated to improve adhesion when installing brick slips, helping to create a strong, long-lasting bond to a wide range of surfaces. Ideal for use on plasterboard, cement board and masonry, this primer is essential when tiling onto porous backgrounds or difficult substrates.

Made from full silicone resin, the formulation allows for excellent vapour permeability, making it highly compatible with cement base coats, through-coloured renders, and mineral-based systems. It’s perfect for internal and external use and creates ultra-high adhesion by allowing a thin mineral coat to bond deeply into the substrate.

The primer can be applied easily using a brush, roller or spray and becomes tacky within 5–10 minutes, ready for tiling. It remains active for up to 48 hours after application, meaning you can complete prep and tiling without unnecessary delays. This 1-litre bottle covers approximately 5m² depending on surface porosity and conditions. Suitable for use in temperatures from as low as 3°C up to 25°C.
