The Brewer Square Aluminium Chimney Capper for Disused Chimneys is a cost-effective and practical way to protect unused chimney stacks from weather damage and pest intrusion. Designed specifically for out-of-service, redundant or old chimneys, it prevents the entry of rain, birds, squirrels and debris while allowing a small amount of airflow to keep the flue ventilated.

Manufactured in England from high quality aluminium, this capper helps to reduce frost damage, mortar erosion and long-term structural decay. Without proper protection, rainwater entering a disused chimney can remain trapped for months, especially in winter, leading to cracks and deterioration in the brickwork and cement joints.

Fitting is simple — the legs are shaped to match the profile of the chimney pot, the stainless steel strap is tightened, and the legs are bent back to hold the capper securely in place. It is suitable for square chimney pots with an internal diameter between 150mm and 250mm (6 to 10 inches) and an external size of 12 by 12 inches. Available in Natural, Black, Buff or Terracotta finishes, it combines long-lasting performance with a traditional look.
