Rooftec BBA Approved Breathable Membrane 140gsm is designed for projects that need a stronger, more resilient roofing underlay. The higher 140gsm weight offers increased robustness, making it an excellent choice for sites exposed to higher wind loads or frequent foot traffic during installation. Its added thickness provides better pull-through resistance and improved stability, giving installers confidence when working on more demanding roofing conditions.

Despite its heavier construction, the membrane still offers impressive breathability. Moisture vapour can escape through the fabric while external water is kept out, helping to maintain a healthier and more controlled roof environment. This makes it particularly effective in preventing condensation issues in well-sealed modern roof designs.

Suitable for warm and cold roof construction, Rooftec 140gsm works beneath slate or tile and is compatible with Scottish sarking boards, timber-frame buildings and metal-frame systems. Its durability makes it especially useful for roofs at risk of stronger winds or where long-term longevity is a priority. Simple to cut, fit and secure, it provides dependable performance on roofs up to 15 metres high and on sites located below 100 metres above sea level.
